Special Projects / Programs

The Center is engaged in ongoing projects that are family and community oriented. The projects are supported by grants and specifically designed to provide high quality services to traditionally underserved populations.

I. The New Jersey Family Empowerment Program (FEP) (currently functioning in five inner city middle schools and four high schools) combines family systems orientation with community approaches in the treatment of youth at risk for substance abuse.

II. The Family Therapy Practicum at schools and agencies provides psychology interns from area graduate schools the opportunity to learn as members of integrated care teams that serve people from poor communities.

III. Princeton Area Community Foundation Special Project: Support by a special grant from the foundation has enabled CFCSJ to expand the services of one of the Mental Health Clinicians in the CFCSJ program within the School Based Program in Trenton Central High School. See Center Blog.
